Primal cutting of lamb have traditionally been done with band saws. This method limits the capacity and especially the quality of the cuts.
Attec Danmark A/S is the only company worldwide who provides the meat business with a new type of primal cutting, introducing the circular knife for the primal cutting and automatic cutting.
Lamb primal cutting
The circular knife is known from the primal cutting of pork, and has been used here for the last 25 years. The circular knife cut both faster and cleaner.
Since 2002 several installations have been installed and pro-viding great benefits for the meat producers.
It gives no smear on the cut surfaces, and improves the shelf life and presentation of the product. It removes the time consuming processes, which today are added to the traditionally band saw cut, by manually removing the smear from the cut surfaces.

Lamb deboning
To fit the new type of lamb primal cutting, Attec Danmark A/S has designed new layouts for the deboning lines. The design incorporates both pace deboning and special process areas.
The deboning lines are designed with or without trays transport and are close connected with the packing area.
